DICE Chewable Tablets Specification

Requires Prescription: YES

How It Works

Vitamin D3 is converted in the body to its active form, calcitriol, which enhances calcium and phosphorus absorption from the intestine. This helps maintain healthy bone mineralization, supports muscle function, and restores optimal Vitamin D levels in deficiency states.

Usage and Safety

Common: Mild nausea, constipation, headache, gastrointestinal discomfort.

Less Common: Hypercalcemia (with excessive intake), vomiting, weakness, increased thirst, frequent urination.

Drug Interactions
May interact with: calcium supplements, thiazide diuretics, anticonvulsants (phenytoin, phenobarbital), corticosteroids, digoxin, and bile acid sequestrants (e.g., cholestyramine).
